Interactive Teaching Method Association
Established in 1993, the Interactive Teaching Method Association (ITM) is an
international network of teachers, students, and friends of the Alexander Technique
who share a distinctive approach to personal development through the work of F M Alexander.
All ITM teachers must have completed an approved teacher training programme and
passed the practical and written examinations. Teachers are required to observe a Code
of Conduct and hold professional indemnity insurance.
|
The Association is presently playing an active role in government initiated
discussions concerned with self-regulation of the Alexander Technique teaching profession.
Since 2000, the ITM has held an annual residential Summer School at the Royal
Agricultural College in Cirencester, drawing teachers and students from around the world.
